This book opened my eyes to a country often forgotten and largely hidden. The heroine, a young woman who devoted her life, literally, to the advancement and liberation of women in Afghanistan, is a model of inspiration and courage in the face of unbelievable difficulties and obstacles. The book is readable, indeed un-put-downable, and although aimed at a younger readership is fully absorbing to all ages. Having read my copy, I would like to donate this book to the library. Please take it out.
