To Great Hucklow and back

Well first of all My Mum Whoke me up at 5.00, but we had to get a lift form my dad so we had to wake him up and my sister Ele because we coudn’t leave her on her own in the house. My dad drove us to Paul and Brigid’s house. My dad and Ele drove back home lathough Ele was asleep in the car! So from Paul and Brigid’s house we drove to the airport. Me and my mam saw some wonderful sights, like plains coming down from the sky. then we parked the car in a spiecal car park. After that we got on a bus to the entrance of the airport. It was a long walk to the scanning machines. when I went through the scanning machine it didn’t beep. After that we got some sweets and waited in a big line of people to get on the airoplane. when I got on airoplane I read my book like you are reading this right now. It took us an hour and a half to get to England. We landed in Sheffield and then got a bus to Hope train station. And then got a train to DerbyShire. We waited 5 minutes for a taxi to bring us to great Hucklow. Great Hucklow was so quit it was as if nobody was there. We were very early. Since we were so early we had time to eat drink and look. First we looked at our rooms. I was in a diffrent room to my mam. I was sleeping with a guy called Ted and mam got a whole room to herself. Paul and Brigid were staying in a cottage. So we all went down then lane to check the cottage. It was beautiful. We just had a look around and then went back to the Nightingale centre. We were all hungry so we ordered some food. We hot sand whiches Crisps and coffee and hot chocolate. I played dominos. A few minutes later all the other children started arriving.
The first 2 who arrived was twins called George and Thomas. I couldn’t tell which was which until they told me who was who. Then all the other children came in the room. We had to make a necklace and draw our face and wright our names under it. When that was done we all went to meet our roommates. Ted was a nice guy. But the messer out of the children. Not long after the leaders who’s names were Louise/Elouise, Mell, clare, Venessa, Ned and Ella, told us to go down to the socail hall. There we played games called Splat and catch the ball. That was my favourite part. After that we had supper and the last thing of the day was story time. Louise read a chapter of a book called flat stanley, which was good. Then we went to sleep. I fell fast asleep because I was so tired. The Next day we got dressed and went out to the playground and went to this shop called the TuckShop were you buy sweets and soda’s. I played football with the boys. After that we went in to do our first activitie...Cooking. We baked gingerbread men and ginger bread faces. Then we had lunch. We had sandwiches and eggs. Then we did our next activitie... calenders. We had to draw a picture for every month. But through all this time Ned was taking pictures of us for a slide show on there website.
After the calenders were finished we had a meeting in the lounge to talk about Unitarianism. I thought Unitarianism is bright because of the chalice. We had to write down what we thought about Unitarianism. When that was finished we had dinner. We had potatos and Vegtables and chicken. For dessert we had ice cream. After that it was free time were you to do whatever you want inside for 15 minutes. I cleaned my room for 15 minutes because there is a compatition who can have the cleanest room. When free time was over it was story time. But this time Ches was reading the next chapter of Flat Stanley. Which Wasn’t as good as the first Chapter. Then it was bidtime . I did’nt want to go to sleep but I fell asleep. I woke up because of the girls shouting breakfast time! We had cereal and eggs for breakfast. After that it was our next activitie ... glueing and cutting paper men out and dressing them with paper clothes. When that was finished it was time for Church. I lit the candle in church that day. We talked about how spiecal we are.
Then we sang a few hymns and then walked back to the Nightingale centre. On the way back we stopped at a little Pond with loads of rocks around it that you could sit on. Then Louise announced that the new people were going to get baptised! So that ment I was going to get baptised! And mother was too! I was first, they made me sit down and let them pour a cup of water on my hair and all down my face! Same with my mother. After that chaos we walked up to a state and took a picture with all the children beside it. When we got the picture. We walked home for lunch. We had sandwiches and vegtables. After we had lunch we went into the lounge for the finale ... Singing. We sang two Songs, “All about you” and “you’ll never get to heaven”. My favourite one was “You’ll never get to heaven” because it was funnier. When we were done singing we said goodbye to all the children who were going home. And then we got 1 taxi 2 trains 1 bus 1 airoplane and 1 car to finished our travel back to Dublin.
